  Ginger Biscuits
A ginger biscuit 8 oz. S.R. Flour
4 oz. hard margarine
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 level teaspoon ground ginger
4 oz. caster sugar
2 good tablespoons golden syrup

Grease baking trays
Set over to 375ºF or Mark 5.
Rub fat in flour, ground ginger and bicarbonate of soda. Add sugar and warmed syrup
Mix well.
Roll into balls the size of a walnut with floured hands.
Place on trays with room to spread and flatten with a fork. Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from trays while hot and place on cooling trays.
