  Wishlist
Wishlist

In this modern age of de-cluttering, and trying to buy people something they really want, I produced a wishlist, which I try to keep updated - and should cover anything from pence to a house! I'm a bit of an experience girl...

Return to this page for inspiration for me, although if you know me, and are therefore the most likely looking to buy something, all I ask if that you join me in having fun! I'm still travelling at the moment though...

SPECIFICS

iPod Classic
With the following (free) engraving on the back:

Bex Lewis
bex@bex-lewis.co.uk

Clock Radio

Small/Micro radio/CD/MP3 player
No need for cassettes any more! Needs sleep timer or auto-switch-off, and preferably a remote. Probably good to have with DAB radio these days...

Comfy airbed Airbed
Replacement airbed, as blown away in the tornado. (I still have the pump, but want this comfy bed which doesn't deflate and can be pumped up using the electric pump)

Cabin Case
Nice, neat, lightweight, wheeled, overhead cabin sized suitcase (max 50cm x 35cm x 23cm). Not necessarily this one from Debenhams, but I like the fact that it's not black, and that it weighs 2.6kg (and is only £40). Most cabin bags weigh over 3kg - want to save that space for luggage! This one from John Lewis is nice, but £85, although I'd pay it if it lasts! A cheap option from Argos, but is it too small?

Colour Laser Printer

Printer Toners
I have the Samsung CLP-300 Laser Colour Printer. Good value up front, but the toner and other associated replacement elements can add up!

Psychologies Magazine
I am subscribed to Psychologies magazine from July 2008. 27th July/27th January each year I'll be forking out £15.36 via direct debit.
Writing Magazine
Subscription to Writing Magazine and Writers News. Already have a direct debit set up (suspended from whilst I wastravelling), but £10.95 for the quarterly rate would come in handy!
Laptop
My laptop gets such heavy work, it's now labouring a lot every time I use it - it was bought in late 2003 - I still think of it as my "new" laptop - even adding an external hard-drive I don't think is enough! Once I got over the initial problem with Dell (and their terrible customer service), I've been very happy with the laptop, so probably would get another one with them, so that's the plan once am back in employment... Broadband connection too - wireless, preferably!

BOOKS
Amazon Wishlist
(you don't have to buy from Amazon, although if you do, it disappears from the list!).
Damaris - Bible Study Guides (I have the guide to The Matrix Trilogy)
Books by Tom Wright (Already have 'Matthew' (both parts); and 'Paul for Everyone: The Prison Letters')
  Georgette Heyer Pastel
  Georgette Heyer Barren Corn

I love all the 'extras' on DVD, and if there's a 2-disk version of anything available (Region 2), I am more likely to want that than the one-disk version, as I want to see all the 'behind the scenes' and 'making of', etc... Ex-rental is fine!

I already have the following DVDs.

SPORT
SWIMMING: Waterproof plugs for ears, like these.
THE GYM: I've only ever found one type of headphones I can wear for extended periods: MDR-W08L Vite Headphones, and need another pair (or two!)
THE GYM: A 32 oz. Power Bottle
STRENGTH EXERCISES: Thick fitness mat
CAMPING
I have tent, mallet, sleeping bag and mat.
Would like other stuff like cooking equipment, etc.
BOARD GAMES
I'd like to build up a few board games, including:
Coppit game Great fun
Uno Extreme (also known as Uno Attack) A twist on the classic game.
ALWAYS AN OPTION

JEWELLERY
I'm allergic to nickel, wear a lot of silver, and like plain-ish contemporary, celtic, and strong graphic designs, nothing too frilly or flowery. I've had a lot from Past Times - especially the Art Deco stuff, Palenque do some lovely stuff too - had a good look in Chester when shopping with Erika. The really strong enammeled pieces I wear that people comment on were from Salford Quays outlets, and appear to be by 'Ikita' (Paris) - although I don't like all their stuff!
Got some lovely ones like the pictured ones one Christmas - thanks Kate!

SOCKS
Well, a girl always needs socks. I like black, bold colours, and appropriate patterns
FOOD
I'm eating a lot more healthily these days and need to re-jig this list... I'd prefer it if you didn't buy me chocolates!
Nice wine (prefer red), good quality champagne (with strawberry, etc. mixers) Baileys, most types of alcohol except beer/lager.
Pistachio Nuts in shells (unsalted is healthier but love roasted/salted too) - they take longer to eat!
Olives stuffed with Pimento; in garlic/basil.
Vouchers for Tesco or Sainsburys are always great, and Marks & Spencers/John Lewis is a real treat!
COWS
Singing Ermintrude - yes please! 'Useful' cow stuff (I've kind of been over-run with stuffed toys/ornaments, etc.).
  • I love Cows, Canada, and already have the Chair Lift T-shirt (Size: M), the Anne of Green Gables one would be fun. (Currency converter - $24 is about £10).
  • When the Magic Roundabout came out in 2005, more stuff appeared. My original collection was 'Ermintrude'. Some original stuff off ebay - (already have the 'Sugarlump Studio model of Ermintrude, and the Singing Ermintrude)? But I have car booted a lot of my cow collection!
For the Home; for the Bath/Perfumes; Treats; Try Oxfam Unwrapped
